The App Store is Apple’s service to allow you to download apps on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The App Store comes already loaded on your Apple device so you don’t have to do anything to get access to it. Simply look at homescreen on your device and you will see the App Store logo on the screen.

You can easily save commonly used locations and then simply click ‘get me home’ or ‘get me to work’ and the app will calculate which routes are available. The app offers a variety of routes for your journey, including walking, cycling, bus only and rain safe routes, with the estimated time it will take.

Spotify allows you to play music online from a catalogue of over 20 million songs for free. You can search by artist, album, genre or record label and you can create your own playlists and share them with others. Even the most obscure song you can think of – Spotify will probably have it.

Skype allows you to call friends and loved ones using the internet, so it’s completely free! You can call people anywhere in the world, so long as they have access to the internet.
